Musical Theatre Classes
Take 2 Academy offers Musical Theatre classes where the focus is on drama, singing and movement to music. We find that our Musical Theatre classes build confidence and allow students to gain a wide range of skills.
We cater for all ages and all abilities. Children's classes start from age 3.

Places Available
Below you will find our current timetable. If the class you are interested in at the moment is full, we will add your details to our waiting list and get in touch with you when a place becomes available.

Shows
All students are encouraged to take part in the shows and cabarets the Academy puts on but students who wish to do so must attend Show Classes.

Private Lessons
Private vocal lessons are available and are of 30 minutes duration. Please complete the contact form at the bottom of the page and we will be in touch.
Class Timetable
THEATRE SCHOOL
Tots (Ages 3 and 4) - Tuesday 5.00-5.30pm
Infants (Reception and Y1) - Tuesday 5.30-6.30pm or Saturday 11.00am -12.00 noon
Juniors (Y2, 3 and 4) - Tuesday 6.30-7.30pm or Saturday 9.15am-10.15am
Intermediates (Y5, 6 and 7) - Tuesday 6.00-8.00pm or Saturday 9.30-11.30am
Seniors (Y8+) - Tuesday 7.30-9.30pm or Thursday 6.00-8.00pm
[PLEASE NOTE: Theatre School is closed for 6 weeks each year: 2 weeks at Easter, 2 weeks in Summer, and 2 weeks at Christmas]
Tots (Age 3 and 4)
These classes involve singing and learning new songs for enjoyment, combined with basic stage movement. We build drama skills and confidence through games and activities.
Infants (Reception/Y1)
These classes concentrate on working on singing and learning new songs for enjoyment, along with basic stage movement. The drama section of the class builds confidence through games and activities.
Juniors (Y2/3/4)
Musical Theatre classes involve working on singing, extending vocal repertoire for enjoyment and to develop musical skills. The drama section works on improvisation and simple scripted work, together with confidence building activities.
Show Classes are for students who wish to perform in our musical theatre shows.
Intermediates (Y5/6/7/8)
Technique classes involve working on singing in harmony and developing a repertoire of different songs for performance or recording. We also work on stage movement/dance. The drama section of these classes looks at both scripted pieces and improvisation work.
Show Classes are for students who wish to perform in our musical theatre shows.
Seniors (Y9+)
These classes involve working towards forthcoming theatre productions. Focus is on both vocal skills and stagecraft/performance techniques. Many sessions are held in the Academy Theatre itself to promote vocal projection and audience awareness.
How to book and pay
We encourage every student, no matter what age or level, to come to a taster session first. If a class is full, the taster session will be offered to the student at the top of the waiting list when a place becomes available.

25% discount if two classes taken in the same week. All fees are paid monthly in advance.
